All components can be mined in the USA, and production is independent of resource markets and foreign supplies. The Sorbiforce battery can potentially become a 100% locally manufactured U.S. product.

No toxic products or metals are used in production. The main component of the battery is ultra-porous carbon. The raw material is agricultural residues such as straw. All battery elements can be easily disposed of and recycled.

The cost of 1 kWh is 1.8 times lower than the price of 1 kWh on the lithium-ion battery market. The technology is easily scalable and has the lowest CAPEX.

The battery is resistant to mechanical damage, non-flammable, non-explosive, has no problem with overcharging, requires no cooling, and has no thermal loss. The bromine salt ZnBr2 in our battery is used in firefighting.

Received first samples of highly porous activated carbon materials (ACM) with a specific pore surface of 3000 m2/g.

2018

Created first samples weighing 0,2 g.

2019

Established an R&D in Western Ukraine. Created a battery prototype with a specific energy density of 45-60 Wh/kg.

2020

Created large prototypes weighing 0,7 - 1,5 kg suitable for scaling and operational through 1,000+ cycles.

2021

Finished testing phase for 2 kWh batterу. Tested battery`s performance on electronic household appliances.

2022

Development of equipment for the pilot production of industrial batteries. Registered SorbiForce Inc. Company in Delaware, USA.
